Meet the OT Friends!

Andrea is an occupational therapist and co-founder of OT Friends, where she brings a warm, relationship-centered approach to helping children and young adults build the skills they need to thrive. She has practiced across school-based, outpatient, and rehabilitation settings, with a special interest in sensory integration, fine motor and handwriting development, and supporting young adults navigating the transition out of school-based services.

Currently completing her Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree, Andrea is passionate about bringing evidence-based practice into everyday sessions and helping families feel informed and supported every step of the way.

Britta is an occupational therapist and co-founder of OT Friends. She holds a master’s degree in special education and a Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree, and her background in both education and therapy shapes the way she supports individuals and families.

Her OT experience includes school-based practice, early intervention, and inpatient rehabilitation. She especially enjoys helping children build fine motor, handwriting, sensory regulation, self-care, and daily living skills through play, creativity, and their own interests.

Britta also loves incorporating literacy into therapy, whether that means reading a recipe while learning to cook, following directions during a real-life task, or using a great story to inspire drawing and writing. She believes literacy can open the door to greater independence and opportunity across the lifespan.

She also has experience supporting teens and young adults with independent living, work-readiness, and workplace-based supports. Across ages, Britta focuses on the whole person—their strengths, routines, environment, relationships, interests, and goals.

Britta lives in Avondale Estates with her husband and two kids. Outside of OT, she loves Halloween and Christmas, reading, exercising, thrifting, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family.
